Northern Lights is one of the most popular strains on the planet, this Indica heavy strain provides a heavy hitting body high that will have you stuck to the couch for hours. Recommended for evening use, Northern Lights is a sedative strain that is used to help things such as insomnia, lack of appetite and chronic pain. A descendant of Afghani and Thai strains, Northern Lights gives off a sweet and spicy aroma with a hashy earthy flavor. Northern Lights is highly sought after in the cannabis community due to its overwhelming popularity with seasoned smokers.

Few strains come with as much widespread renown as Northern Lights, inarguably one of the most popular strains of all time. An inbred descendant of original Afghani landrace strains, Northern Lights is a pure indica.  A couple hits is all it takes for most patient’s seeking this strain’s powerful body effects, an upbeat mix of euphoria and physical relaxation. CBD levels are less clear, but they certainly aren’t high enough to recommend this as a treatment for seizures or other conditions that respond to CBD. Even so, Northern Lights is a highly useful medical strain, effective at treating anxiety, pain, and insomnia, as well as lack of appetite. Cottonmouth is common, as are red eyes, while other negative effects are much more limited. This strain has a sweet, earthy flavor with hints of citrus.     This is a fantastic strain and I’d definitely get again. My only issue was the flower in this batch was so extremely dried out that it couldn’t be rolled….. part of mine was crumbles and dust. Otherwise this is a gem of a strain from the past.

    I am laughing on the inside and outside, because I see why people say this is the ultimate in Marijuana. (and everything is honestly funny to me right now) I. AM. IN. LOVE. I have been smoking for a while now and I have NEVER had a strain this complex in terms of effects. This feels like what the stereotype of hippy/jamaican/rasta ganja is known for, like….peace,calm, and bliss. Features required in a straight that I could confidently declare as my all time favorite. I’m feeling so lifted and high and happy, but also loose and like a literal bowl of jelly that feels nothing. There is no fast heart beat. In fact, I have never had more of a challenge keeping my eyes open. The only thing needed is the ocean and calypso music. I mean, this is honestly fantastic.
